About Us

Founded in 2005, Bay Area Intervention addresses the need for affordable intervention and aftercare services in the SF/Bay Area. It all started in 2003 when our founder, Doug, began volunteering his time in treatment and detox centers. Being a recovered alcoholic, and overcoming several other addictions himself, he began working to help others recover. He believed in family recovery and in diverse treatment options that include coping skills around emotional balance. Doug began to receive several calls of family members desperate to get help for their loved ones. This led to the process of learning and practicing a non-confrontational intervention process that has been the keystone for many successful recoveries.

Doug would always learn from the failures and continued to work with the family members bringing hope, and serenity. He has worked with hundreds of alcoholics/addicts and has had great success in helping others achieve long term sobriety. He is also a skilled Life Coach and has helped many people get back on their feet, while going through dramatic life events. He loves working with young people and helping them achieve their goals.

From this, Bay Area Intervention was formed. Today, BAI serves the community and continues to help families and individuals approach, and take action on, the terrible condition of alcoholism and addiction. If you or someone you love is suffering from the gravity of alcoholism/ addiction, substance abuse, or behavioral disorders please contact us today for a consultation.

Bay Area Intervention is a non-profit organization and ministry of Calvary Church (Los Gatos, CA).  BAI's mission is to provide accessible and affordable intervention and access to recovery services, with the vision of renewing and bringing hope to individuals and families that are effected by the devastating impact of alcoholism, addiction, and other behavioral disorders.
